Alpine Haus is a bright and airy mountain retreat where slab surfaces create a smooth transition between the refined interior and the inviting outdoor kitchen and patio area. The design emphasizes clean lines and cohesive flow, supported by thoughtful stone integrations across the main living spaces and the outdoor BBQ zone.
Cambria quartz, Vermont granite, and Absolute Black granite each contribute to the home’s balanced atmosphere, performing well in both indoor applications, like a custom double vanity countertop, and outdoor countertops exposed to the elements. The kitchen passthrough extends the living experience toward the patio, while the lower entertainment area gains durability and structure from its stone surfaces.
Set against the surrounding landscape, this one-bedroom retreat brings together craftsmanship, material selection, and a natural connection to its environment.

Stone Applications
The project features detailed stone integrations across the kitchen, bar, bathroom, and outdoor living areas. Inside, the design includes 2½” mitered edges and mitered waterfall islands, with legs wrapping back to the cabinets for a clean, continuous look. The kitchen passthrough adds a practical connection to the patio and outdoor BBQ zone, while durable stone surfaces support the function of the outdoor countertops and entertainment spaces.
Materials
Cambria quartz is used throughout the home, from the primary countertops and shower curb to the ceiling-height splash and window casing. Leathered Black Vermont Granite provides a striking transition between interior and patio spaces, and Leathered Absolute Black Granite is applied in the lower outdoor kitchen and entertainment area for its rugged performance and natural durability.
Result.
This project required precision across both indoor details and outdoor applications, from advanced mitered waterfall craftsmanship to vein-matched quartz and durable granite surfaces exposed to the elements. Meeting these technical demands made the final outcome especially rewarding, with each space coming together in a cohesive and refined way.
